Friends of Sunfield both in Howick and Durban are the fundraising arms of the Home. Many different forms of fundraising are already being used to help raise much needed funds for the Home.
We have built up excellent relationships with businesses, trusts, individuals and the community as a whole, who have donated generously. That has allowed us to commence and complete some major projects.
We are in the process of developing an outreach programme which will offer training programmes at our Home for people who wish to care and indeed train physically and mentally handicapped people. Once the programme has been finally designed and approved by the appropriate Government departments, we shall be making an appeal for funding.
Another major project is to provide a larger frail care facility for our aged residents who, as you will appreciate, require very special care.
