The running costs of the home are met by private payment of fees, augmented by State Disability Grant (due to increasingly precarious economy growth: see "Our Plight"). There are, however, a number of residents who are unable to pay their fees and the shortfall is provided for by the valuable fund-raising efforts of the Friends Of Sunfield who are two committees that form the fund-raising arm of the Home. Donations are most welcome as these assist the home to provide the necessary extras such as excursions, treats at Christmas time and so on.
The home is managed under the guidance of a Board of Directors who meet regularly with the Home Management to determine the broad operating policies of the home.
The responsibilities of the Home Care Manager include the co-ordination of the physical and mental well-being of the residents and the supervision of the staff involved therein.
