The Home's aim is to provide a caring and home-like environment for a wide spectrum of adults with mental disabilities. This form of care includes involving the residents in appropriate training, and occupational and recreational activities to enhance their lifelong well-being. Those residents who are able, participate in certain basic house-keeping activities as well as contributing to the economic needs of the home, usually via the occupational workshop where they are engaged in simple work contracted to the home by local industry.
Apart from these activities, residents choose how they wish to be involved in the day-to-day running of the home. Some assist with manual activities in the garden or in the cultivation of vegetables. Other residents with specialized talents, become involved in knitting, weaving, greeting card restoration and baking.
